Problems in your relationship?
Not feeling the same way about each other as you used to?
Want to get back to that special relationship you once had?
Maybe it is time to try some relationship counselling before it is too late.
There are too many relationship break-ups in Australia today. Do not let it happen to you.
If the relationship has irretrievably broken down it is important to attend for separation counselling and mediation to avoid ongoing bitterness and anger and also to avoid the debilitating financial difficulties which may result from an acrimonious breakup. This separation counselling is especially important if there are children involved.

Relationship Counselling Approach
Initially we see you together (or individually if you prefer) for some history taking, problem identification, and explanation of the counselling process. The purpose of the session is not to determine who is at fault or to allocate blame. The counsellor does not act as a judge who, after listening to each of you, decides who is right and who is wrong. Rather, the aim of the session is primarily to identify the problems which are causing difficulties in your relationship and to get some indication as to whether the relationship is able to be saved. Unfortunately, it is sometimes the case that the relationship has irretrievably broken down and counselling at this stage may be too late. (See below regarding separation counselling). Hopefully that will not be the case with your relationship.
Our relationship counselling sessions cover general counselling with the emphasis on developing communication skills to effectively manage the difficulties in your relationship. You will have access to a number of CDs and written material covering topics which will help to improve your relationship. I have no doubt that if each of you is committed to improving relationship you will be successful.
As well as general counselling for resolving difficulties and improving your relationship, we also provide individual therapy to help people with specific problems which may be contributing to difficulties in the relationship e.g. alcoholism, gambling, anger, sexual problems, excessive spending, inability to show affection, coping with the aftermath of an affair, et cetera.
